Jagran correspondent, Patna. A case of shooting of a female policeman has come to light in Patna, the capital of Bihar state, on Friday. The murder took place in a hotel near Patna Junction.

According to sources, a woman policeman was shot dead at Meenakshi Hotel next to Veena Cinema near Patna Junction. It is said that the deceased was a resident of Jehanabad. The name of the deceased was said to be Shobha Kumari.

According to preliminary information, the woman’s husband has been accused of murder. It is understood that the woman’s husband shot her with a pistol. Police have recovered a pistol from the spot. The name of the accused husband was revealed to be Gajendra Kumar.

According to the police who reached the spot, the deceased was a resident of Pasena village of Saidabad city of Jehanabad province. Evidence of a fight was found in the hotel room where the couple was staying. Sindoor is also scattered on the floor.

Police found a bag belonging to the girl in the room, which was believed to contain a handgun. It was probably a government pistol and the number marked on it showed where Shoba was posted. Investigation is also going on whether Gajendra is her husband or not.

Media has been prevented from entering and FSL team will investigate

The police have not yet allowed the media to enter the hotel. FSL team has been deployed to take finger prints. According to initial information, the pistol has been recovered. At the same time, a pistol is said to have been recovered from the woman’s bag.
