National Bureau, Bhopal. To arouse enthusiasm among BJP workers in Mahakoshal and Vindhya, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jabalpur on 21 October and Rewa on 22 October. Shah will hold meetings of workers at both the places. Rakesh Singh, a four-time BJP MP from Jabalpur, is also contesting the assembly elections.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also held a public meeting in Jabalpur, but the visit of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah was only to strengthen the organization. BJP faces different challenges in Vindhya and Mahakoshar.

He will also hold a meeting of party officials in Rewa on October 22. Jabalpur and Rewa have eight assembly seats each. Of these, four seats in Jabalpur are occupied by BJP and four parliamentary seats by Congress. Whereas BJP has control over all the eight seats of Rewa.

It is noteworthy that BJP’s Central Election Committee will meet in Delhi on Friday to discuss the list of candidates for the assembly elections. Prime Minister Modi will also participate. After the meeting, the fifth list of remaining BJP candidates is likely to be released. The party has so far declared the list of 136 candidates. The remaining 94 seats are yet to be announced.
