PTI, New Delhi. The market gained momentum on the last day of the trading week and after the decision of the Monetary Policy Committee (RBI MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India. Today Sensex closed 303 points up at 69,825 points, Nifty closed 68 points up at 20,969 points. Bank Nifty closed at 47,262 points, up 420 points.

However, small and midcap stocks declined today. BSE Midcap fell 56 points to 35,290 points and BSE Smallcap fell 183 points to 41,104 points.

Nifty’s biggest winners and losers

Stocks of HCL Tech, LTITree, JSW Steel, Apollo Hospital, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Titan Company, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Wipro were among the top gainers.

Shares of Adani Enterprises, ITC, Adani Ports, Hero MotoCorp, ONGC, Britannia, M&M, Divis Lab, Bajaj Finance, Tata Consumer Products were among the top losers.
