Weather Update: Temperature keeps changing in Delhi. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather change warning in the cities of Maharashtra due to the possibility of a cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea.

The IMD said there is a low pressure area in the southeastern Arabian Sea which may turn into a “severe” cyclone in the next two to three days. There is a possibility of rain and strong winds in Mumbai, Goa, Pune and surrounding areas affected by the cyclone.

Light to moderate rain occurred over Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, light to moderate rain and snowfall occurred in Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, light rain occurred in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka, Sikkim, Assam and Rajasthan.

People start feeling mild cold in Bihar, Punjab

The weather is likely to remain generally dry across Bihar including Patna. The effect of fog can be seen in the morning in most parts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of drop in temperature in the states including Patna in the next two days. Sooner or later people will feel slight cold in Patna. Talking about the weather of Punjab, cold is felt in the morning and evening in Punjab. Due to sunshine in most parts of Punjab, the day temperature is likely to increase by one to two degrees Celsius.

Snowfall has increased the cold in the hilly state

The first snowfall of the season has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and the temperature has dropped. The Meteorological Department estimates that winter may last long in the state.

Talking about the weather in Jammu, according to the Meteorological Department, winter weather will continue due to snowfall in the upper districts but the weather is likely to remain mainly dry and “hot”. The Meteorological Department said that the valley is expected to remain cloudy till October 22-23.
