The police station chief and the investigator have been accused of protecting the accused in the registered cases. At the same time, the police station chief has accused the Basic Education Officer, the plaintiff in this case, of not giving evidence.

Uttar Pradesh Cooperative and Cold Storage Federation Limited, Balaich has been awarded the contract for supply of 24,135 furniture desks and chairs in 762 upper primary schools of the district. For this, FDR worth Rs 32 lakh 20,575 was mortgaged in the name of the department and deposited in the bank as security. 

The company has been blacklisted

The company was blacklisted on 17 July 2023 due to substandard furniture supply. Despite this, the branch manager transferred the mortgage guarantee amount of Rs 32 lakh to the company’s account. 

In the present case, on the orders of DM Monica Rani, District Basic Education Officer Avyakt Ram Tiwari had filed a case against the institution’s Executive Engineer Dilip Kumar Shukla and the bank branch manager on August 7. Even after months, the investigation by investigator Vijay Gupta is stalled.
