Under PMGSY Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Rs 5,728 crore as central share and state share of Rs 382.82 crore (total Rs 955.62 crore) have been approved for the third phase of PMGSY. The work of converting nine lines of this technology into FDR technology is being done as a pilot project.

State Bureau, Lucknow. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Rs 5,728 crore as central share and Rs 382.82 crore as state share (total Rs 955.62 crore) have been sanctioned in the third phase of PMGSY. The Ministry of Rural Development has issued a government order in this regard.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, by 2022, Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) technical work is being done rapidly on a total of nine routes in Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Agra, Hathras, Mainpuri, Hamirpur and Jhansi. The work of converting nine lines of this technology into FDR technology is being done as a pilot project.

PMGSY scheme was launched by the Central Government in December 2000. It aims to reduce poverty through the construction of road networks. Its objective is to set high technical and management standards and to facilitate national level policy development and planning. Manage the rural road network to ensure sustainability. The scheme covers only rural areas and urban roads do not come under the purview of PMGSY scheme.
