After the Hamas attack, a large number of people in Israel are applying for gun licenses. More than 100,000 people have applied for permits so far following the Hamas attack on October 7. Israel’s Ministry of National Security said it had received so many applications in two years.

Ani, Tel Aviv. After Hamas’ brutal attack on October 7, more than 100,000 people applied for gun permits in southern Israel. This information has been given by the Israeli National Security Ministry.

So many applications came in two years

It is understood that so many applications were received in the two years before the attack. Shehar Fishbein, who applied for a weapons license, said that if he cannot protect himself, how can anyone else do the job. The individual is responsible for his own safety.

Shekhar, 23, from Kadwan Zoran Municipality, had recently completed his mandatory military service, but he was not satisfied with the government’s response to his application for a firearms license. They have received a message asking to include the application in the system.

Hamas attacks Israel

On October 7, Hamas launched an attack that killed approximately 1,400 Israelis. Despite strict security measures deployed on the border, there was such a huge loss of life and property. To assert these claims, Hamas terrorists enter and attack Israel by land, sea, and air routes. The militants also kidnapped more than 200 people, who are currently being held hostage in Gaza.

Israeli citizens now consider it inappropriate to rely on security forces for protection and therefore find it better to keep their own weapons for their own protection.

Who gets a firearms license?

In Israel, a citizen in good health and a clean background is considered eligible for a weapons license. After obtaining the license, a person can carry up to 100 rounds of ammunition along with the weapon.
